Alisha Haridasani Gupta

Alisha Haridasani Gupta is a reporter at the New York Times who covers health conditions that affect women and those that disproportionately affect people of color.
 
For most of her 14-year career, she has focused on women’s issues, writing about topics including whether women should trust period-tracking apps, the child care crisis in the U.S., changing perceptions of motherhood and the lasting legacy of the Spice Girls. Prior to covering women's health, she helmed The Times’s gender newsletter, In Her Words, and her work has also appeared in The New Yorker, CNN International, Time Out and theSkimm.
 
She was born in India, raised in Hong Kong and studied in London before moving to New York in 2016.
